I realized this morning that I never reported about my cell phone situation. Apparently, rumors of its death were greatly exaggerated. Just mailed my dissertation director a provisional outline for my prospectus: four pages that contain the bare bones of the ideas I've been developing for literally years now. Just finished a rough outline of my PhD dissertation prospectus. (A 'prospectus,' in American secondary ed terms, is a formal plan for your book-length research project in your field, called a 'dissertation.') Will start writing it this week. Eek.
